Fall is officially here and I am always amazed how much I love looking around at the natural beauty our Northern community has to offer.....a work of art really. I was down by the river near my house and snapped a few shots of the gorgeous views of the Nechako. Enjoy.
Autumn is my favourite season. I love the colours and contrasts of the changing leaves and I think your photos capture that. Thank you for sharing them.
ReplyDeletePhotography is so much more accessible for everyone now - a great way to emphasize what we love, as we experience it. I used to do a lot of driving between PG and Terrace or Grande Prairie to teach our master's classes - I was amazed at how less exhausted I was when I began to take a few minutes here and there to stop and take pictures of the loveliest scenes. Like you, I chose rivers, rocks, and trees. I think it would be a wellness activity to have students collect images, in a scrap book or electronically, of things/people/places that they love. Students might also use these things as inspiration for art projects, i.e. given a choice of art techniques that we have used so far this year (list), create a work based on one of the images in your Inspiration collection.
